In an era where progress makes great leaps forward, some things prove to be diachronic. MEVGAL, the first Dairy Industry in North Greece feels proud that its progress and development rest on solid principles and diachronic values.
The highest three star accolades have been bestowed on MEVGAL’s Feta (PDO) and Authentic Greek Strained Yogurt by the International Taste & Quality Institute (ITQI) which has its headquarters in Brussels.
Standardized packaged products from all over the world are subjected every year to the ITQI challenge in a ‘blind’ six-day taste test by a group of 120 specialists chosen from cooperating ITQI federation members. Products are judged based on characteristics of taste and quality, rather than in competition with similar products.
MEVGAL dairy industry is penetrating new export markets, building on the company’s successful participation in the leading international Anuga food fair, which took place in Cologne Germany from October 10 to 14, 2015.
During the fair, MEVGAL explored new commercial and export initiatives through a variety of contacts. MEVGAL held meetings not only with representatives from markets that were familiar with its products, but also with retail companies and distribution networks from 30 countries, where its presence has yet to be established.
